2026 Camp Mack Wilderness Area Adventure Day

Join us in the 160 acre Wilderness Area on April 25th for a FREE day of climbing, archery, hiking, games, good food, and fellowship.

Last year, we hosted our very first adventure day, and we had so much fun. That is why we decided to make this year’s event even BIGGER. Besides opening up the wilderness area, we have revived an old favourite: the Camp Mack 5K, added a cinnamon toast breakfast, and will combine this event with our summer camp open house.

Camp’s address is 1113 E Camp Mack Road, Milford IN. When you put this in the GPS, it takes you right to our driveway, where a friendly welcome team member will greet you and tell you more about where to park. NOTE: during the 5K we will have some roads closed. Don’t worry, you can still get to camp easily!

Camp Mack Wilderness Area 5K

Join us in the wilderness area for this fun and unique 5K. Instead of running on the road (besides a short section to get into the wilderness area), this 5K takes place on the trails of the wilderness area and Camp Mack. During the race, we will see some cool stuff along the way: the challenge course, archery range (don’t worry, no one will be shooting), 5 points, the big field, grandfather oak, the prairie, and end with two laps around the auditorium. 

On-site registration starts at 8am, the race will start at 9
This event will be chip timed
Breakfast starts at 9:30, ends at 11
Awards will be at 10:30

Online registration for the 5K opens January 30th. Registration cost is $35 and includes a shirt and 1 entry to the cinnamon toast breakfast. Additional entries to the breakfast can be purchased separately.

After we are done running, you can join us in the dining hall for our famous cinnamon toast breakfast (included in your registration). Showers are also available at camp.

Cinnamon Toast Breakfast

Cinnamon toast has been a staple of Camp Mack for the longest time. Almost every guest will get cinnamon toast at some point during their stay at Camp Mack. After the 5K, we will have breakfast waiting for you. Not just cinnamon toast, but lots of other things as well! Besides delicious, this is also a great fundraiser for Camp Mack.

Timeframe: 9:30am-11am
Adult: $10
Child (3-12): $5

Adventure Day

We have so many cool activities to choose from, you won’t know where to start! Climbing Wall, High Ropes Course, Zipline, Archery, Nature Hikes, Games, Hayrides, Kid’s Activities, and Popcorn are available and FREE!

We will have the hayride available to take you to and from the parking areas to the challenge course area

Timeframe: 11-4:30

Climbing Wall (Ages 8+)
Can you make it all the way to the top of the wall?
Our climbing wall features two sides, one of them very challenging. The wall is 32ft high, and once you reach the top you have a great view of the wilderness area.
Time required: 20 minutes
High Ropes Course (Ages 12+) Pick the higher or lower level and make it all the way across. Our high ropes course has two levels, both with fun elements and a zapline at the end. Time required: 40 minutes for one level, 60 for both
Zipline (Ages 12+) Take that step off the platform and fly through the air like a bird. The zipline is 300 ft long and goes out from the climbing tower. Thank goodness you can use the staircase inside to get to the top. Time required: 20 minutes
Try to hit that target (or get as close as you can) Our archery range features recurve bows. Learn the basics of shooting a bow and try to get as close to the center as you can! Time required: 30 minutes
Nature Hike (All ages) Explore the beauty of the wilderness area and learn more about nature Follow some of our preset hikes or blaze your own trail through the wilderness area. Learn more about nature by scanning the QR codes and have Jessie explain what you see. The wilderness area has approximately 5 miles of hiking trails Time required: Depends how fast you walk
Various Games (All ages) Enjoy a wide variety of games that will be setup in the area. Games included: 9-Square (requires at least 9 people to play), cornhole, sensory boxes, scavenger hunts. More to come! Time required: However much time you want to spend!
Popcorn Enjoy this Camp Mack tradition and get yourself some fresh popped popcorn.
S’mores Roast marshmallows over the campfire and make yourself a tasty s’more
Hayrides (All ages) The hayride will take you from our parking lot to the wilderness area. See Camp Mack from the back of a hay wagon and enjoy the ride. Shuttles will run at regular intervals.

During the Wilderness Area Adventure Day, the High Ropes Course will be open for everyone aged 12+. Reservations are not needed, but will be helpful to staff. Sign up and reserve yourself a timeslot. This is especially helpful with larger groups.
